David Bowman David and Reed Bowman are a father and son team, designing and creating jewelry, vases, candlesticks, menorahs, clocks, sculpture, and art for the wall in patinaed brass and copper. All their work is their own designs, carried out entirely by the two of them at their studio in Berkeley, California. No part of the work is hired out, and they employ neither assitants, heavy machinery, casting, nor mass-production techniques in the creation of their wide line of individually hand-fabricated pieces. She draws her inspiration from Asian art and design, cultural symbols and colorful papers and textile design. The designs are clean and modern. The simplicity of the jewelry forms allows the colors and designs to be the focal point. The jewelry is eclectic, meaningful and very wearable. A feature of the pieces that contain Kanji is that the English translation is engraved on the back of each piece.
